Meet Dr. Jamie Sculley

Naturopathic Doctor

I am a licensed naturopathic doctor and graduate of Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA.

I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body works and became interested in pursuing a medical career as a teenager. I learned about naturopathic medicine during my undergraduate studies at Bastyr University where I completed my bachelor of science degree in botanical medicine. I appreciated that botanical medicine could be accessible to everyone and allowed people to take care of themselves and their loved ones.

I was drawn to naturopathic medicine because the concepts of prevention, treating the whole person, and looking for the underlying cause of disease instead of suppressing symptoms made sense to me as a better way to make a lasting difference in the lives of others. I enjoy learning about health and sharing my knowledge with people so they feel empowered rather than confused or frustrated. Naturopathic medicine is a cause I believe in and I think people are looking for a different way than what's offered by our current health care system.

My approach to helping my patients involves taking their lifestyle, diet, and emotional health into consideration because these aspects of a person’s life contribute to their health and wellbeing. My individualized treatment plans include utilizing botanical medicine, vitamin and mineral supplementation, homeopathy, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, and hydrotherapy with a focus on preventive medicine.

My clinical interests include thyroid disease, autoimmune diseases, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, and digestive disorders.

I grew up and reside in Port Angeles, WA.

My Approach

A naturopathic approach takes all aspects of your life into consideration and utilizes many different testing and treatment options to get to the real cause of illness. I can help guide you to take control of your health and well-being by listening to and validating your concerns, taking the time necessary to understand what you're going through, and working with you to find out what's really going on. Through our visits I'll work with you to come up with a plan that keeps things simple and aligns with your values, preferences and budget.

Visits and Treatment Strategies

At this time I only provide house calls for patients and don't see patients in a clinic.

Naturopathic Medical Visit

Local only

Initial visits are 90 minutes and include gathering a thorough medical history, physical exam and a treatment plan that is tailored to your health needs which may include ordering labs and requesting records from previous healthcare providers. Follow up visits are 60 minutes and will involve checking in with progress, physical exam and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.

My treatment plans utilize nutrition and dietary counseling, botanical medicine, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, lifestyle counseling and prescribing and managing pharmaceutical medication when necessary. Lab orders will be given to you to take to the local lab and we will discuss results at follow up visits.

Supplement recommendations and refills will be drop-shipped to your house through an online dispensary called Fullscript. You can expect to receive them in 2-3 days. Other options would be to buy supplements at local retailers.
